one of the concerns of taking a motorbike and sidecar to europe is the ferry companies insistence on charging a outfit as a small car, on our last visit we went via Portsmouth and LD Lines to le havre, LD lines don't have a separate booking category of motorbike and sidecar unlike p+o, Brittany ferries, Norfolk line etc, when i made the phone booking they treated them as solo's which took the price from £130(small car price) to £47 solo round trip so power to LD Lines

La Madone des Motards Porcaro 14 - 15 august 2010

This is a very large gathering of motorcycles over the weekend of the 14/15 in central brittany, it is a religious blessing followed by a 80km(50 mile) run 2009 saw close to 25,000 bikes take part, we attended on solo's to see what it was all about, having experienced a french organised run, you have to do one, it was enormous, 2010 we will be doing the run on outfits, anyon interested in attending contact me

MPC are now able to offer guided tours of Brittany by ural outfit. Each tour can be tailored to suit your requirements. Relax and enjoy the unspoilt countryside and scenery, the quiet well maintained roads and the laid back atmosphere of Brittany. Frequent stops are made for photo opportunities, sightseeing and refreshments. Daily riding times are approximately 4 hours this can be increased or reduced according to preference.

Not ridden an outfit before, combine the two, learn to ride whilst we do a gentle tour of the quiet countryside. full instruction given, learn at your pace.

sidecar rental 125 euros per day (115 euros per day for 4 + days)

brittany tour per day 150 euros

sidecar tuition 230 euros per day

chauffered sidecar tours 110 euros per half day 185 euros per full day

All prices above are per outfit, there is no charge for pillion/passenger. Third party insurance cover is included. Any damage to the outfits is borne by the hirer. Fully comprehensive insurance can be arranged.

Petrol, food, drinks, accommodation, travel to and from Brittany are at clients expense.

Helmets and motorcycle gear are clients responsibility, but can be hired at additional cost
